  BIRD VIEW OF NAVODAYA

A bird's eye view of JNV campus

The pictures below show how our JNV campus looks like if we saw it from the sky. I took these pictures by using the Google Earth. I think the pictures are a bit old, but this is what I could get from Google Earth. I can see that there are few buildings which are under construction, I hope that very soon I will get the updated pictures. I will post them as soon as Google Earth updates their database.
1. THE POND

In this picture, you can see the whole campus including the boundry wall. I wonder that volleyball court down the hill is now an official court. I remember going there and playing for hours.

2. THE INFAMOUS POND

Oh! the pond was a different story. I really miss going there and taking a dip. I know it was not allowed to go there but I think we never cared about that. Only cool people broke the laws and went there to jump off the cliff into the water. I agree that the water was not the cleanest but the fun was pure

3. THE PRIMARY SCHOOL AT CAMPUS!

When I was leaving the school, we just had started this small primary school for the kids from the local villages. I heard that the school is doing pretty well and its really helping the local community. I wish I had recent pictures of small kids having fun there. I wonder if they ever made it to our real school after graduating from that primary school.

4. OLD JNV BUILDINGS

We were the first batch and when our school started, we didn't even have our own buildings. This is an old 'jail' where our school got established. I still remember those mango and jack-fruit trees. I know it was not a very big place but I have a lot of memories attached with this.

5. TENUGHAT CHAURAHA (The round about)

Oh when we first arrived, there weren't even any shops there. I think we were a good source of money for all the shops at this roundabout. I wonder if the imfamous 'Ramgarh Hotel' is still there.

6. TENUGHAT DAM

This is the imfamous Tenughat dam. It was really pretty, especially when all the water gates of the dam were open. It was scary but beautiful experience, at least for me. Also, my girl-friend's dad used to work there, I wonder if he still works there.

7. THE PARK

When we didn't have our own buildings and grounds, we used to go to this community park for all the school events. I remember playing Kabbadi there. Ritesh used to give me a stop watch and go around the park when he was preparing for his 100m sprint against Deepak. Haha! it makes me laugh when I think about it now.
